Cross Country.

CROSS COUNTRY

On the 16th of September Pt England School had a Cross Country. There were people from other schools they came to run with us. On that day there was a lot of people so the colour was blue, green, yellow and red. I was in red I was nerves because every time when we have our cross country practice I always have a stitch. When is come up to the year 8 girls I was nerves because I might have a stitch again. So the year 8 girls have to do 2 laps on the Pt England school field and the Pt England Reserve so 2 laps are 3 km. When the ruining start I was just sprint because I don't want to get tried already. I was surprised because I didn't have a stitch when I have to do the 2 laps. On the year 8 girls Naomi came on the 1st place and I came on the 2 nd place and the 3rd place was Chastity.

RECORDING.(Technology Wood)

Hi, my name is Rosaleen today I am going to tell you guys how did I make my piano step by step.

STEP:1 First I used a pencil, paper, and ruler to make the full size working the reason why  I used these tools because is much easier for me to use it.

STEP: 2 Here are the tools that I used to measure my wood is a Tri-square and a pencil because that the only tools to use to measure your wood.

STEP: 3 I marked a Square line at 160  across and I use a ruler and a pencil because that tool is the best one to use to mark your paper.

STEP: 4 I cut off the first piece of wood using a backed saw and a bench hook because I think that the great idea.

STEP: 5 Then I marked out the joint using a tri-square and a pencil because there are no other tools to use.

STEP: 6 I use a wood chisel and a mallet to cut up my joint because I think that the best tools to use to cut up the joint.

STEP: 7 So after I cut up the joint I gave it to Mr. Grandy to check it if is good or not, so when I finished that I glue it in then I have to wait for half an hour.

STEP: 8 After I finished half an hour I cut up a piece of a skinny wood for my lid.

STEP: 9 After I finish cut up the piece of a skinny wood then I draw the keyboard of the piano with a pencil and a black pen.

STEP: 10 So after that I made a little piece of a flower out of wire to hold on to it to open the lid.

Immersion Assembly

On Monday 22th July 2019 Pt England School had an immersion assembly so my first favorite part of the immersion assembly is when team one video so team one's video is about S.O.F.A so sofa stand for the status of forces agreement.

Team 1: So team one's video is about different types of sea animals who lived underwater and different types of the body parts of the sea animals. Also, team one's video is about how to protect the sea animals underwater when they need help.

Team 2: Team two is learning the meaning of different sized creatures that live underwater and on land. team twos video was super interesting and describable to me as this term is the term we learn beyond things underwater. 

Team 5: So the last team is team five so team five ideas are about different types of things from under the water so Mrs. Ilao is the Cell and Mrs. Stone is the nucleus then Ms. Tapuke is the Chromosome and Mrs. Moala is the DNA and the last one is Whaea Kelly is the GENE.

Matariki

On Friday the 28th of June Pt England School had a special Matariki day at our School. There were so many activities to do at school there was a movie making, art & craft, Music, Sports, and cooking. My group was art and craft I had lots of fun with my friends. Matariki day at our school was a mess because we have to travel to our group. In my class I had fun but not really because it was kind of hard to make the things we were supposed to make. I tried my best but still doesn’t work so I decided to give up and I gave up. In my class, we had lots of little kids and I like to play with the little kids.

I have chosen to make a Piano for myself because I really love to play the piano. I think this is the best choice to make because my piano is going to be useful.

 This Piano will be used to put my money inside and also my jewelries because sometimes I don't put my money and jewelries in the right place and they always go missing. 

My final choice was this because the Piano is a very special thing to me and It was the first idea that came into my mind.

All About My Holidays.

On my holidays it was kind of fun and kind of boring. The first week of the holidays I just stayed at home and help my mom to clean my house. The last week of the holidays me my mom my cousin and my cousin's mom when to the warehouse. So my cousin got her a long pant because she loves to wear long pant. 

 I got new shoes for my white Sunday it really fit on me and also it really nice on me. I also got a watch it black and gold it really nice and cool. My mom didn't want to buy the watch but I do want to buy the watch because I love it. But my mom did buy the watch for me and I was really happy.

Hi everyone my name is Rosaleen and this is my shield so on my values I have family,culture,friends and church. The reason why I put family,culture,friends and church because it's really important for me. On my Skills I have cleaning,maths,netball,painting and art the reason why I put  cleaning,maths,netball,painting and art because that the thing I am good at it.Then on Qualities I have kind,lovely,crazy,weird,funny and hard working I put kind,lovely,crazy,weird,funny and hard working because that the word that describe you. Then the last one is Interests so I put maths,music,school,helping,netball, and drawing. So I put all the thing in Interests because that the thing that I like. So at the bottom of the side of my shield I have my dreams so my dreams is to become a police because I love helping people are in trouble. Then the top of the side of my shield I have Pathways to my future and it says if I want to be..... then I put police. Then side of my shield it says in there useful subjects. Then I wrote need to be fit and being a hard worker and need to be good at maths. Then the top of the side on my shield it says on there my support crew and also says on there who is on my waka and the words next to the waka it says on there ways they can support you. On my waka I wrote on there is mum,teacher,dad,friends,cousin,aunty and my uncle. All of these people on my waka they helps me a lot and they support me with my learning.

Anna and Oscar wanted a balloons and dad said yes I will get you some balloons for you guys.Then all of them spilt and Mum and Oscar when together and Dad and Anna when together. Mum and Oscar when to get the bread,sausages,apples and orange then Dad and Anna when to get some Balloons. When they meet back Oscar shouted "Look up! Here they come with the balloons.Anna and Oscar was happy because they got some balloons.

My Favourite part of this book is when Mum,Dad,Anna and Oscar spilt up to get some food so Mum and Oscar when to get some bread,sausages,apples and orange and Dad and Anna when to get some balloons. Then they all meet back and Anna and Oscar was very very happy because they got some balloons

Polyfest

On Wednesday 12th of March the year 7 & 8 students went to Polyfest. First we all traveled  on the bus  to Manukau to the Polyfest. When we arrived we all walked in a line  to apart of the Polyfest. Then we got split into  groups and we all did different rotations like skpiping rope,chanting and team buildng. When we finish our third rotation we all have our morning tea.

When we finish our morning tea we when to finish our rotation when we finish our rotation we all had our lunch. When lunch was  finished we all did the dance practise all the schools were involved in the dance practise the people in the dance it was over 900 people. The dance practise was fun because there was alot of people in the dance practise.

So when we finish our dance our group was starting to move to go back when we going our group when to see different stage. Then we when to by some food to eat after then we all have to meet back to the CookIsland stage. When we all meet back all the year 7 & 8 start moving to go on  to the bus when we get on the bus the year 7 & 8 was sleep. When we arrived at Pt England School we all have to go to our home class and do our roll and then we when home at 3 clock.
